Fortress Tax Defense

557 Property Portfolio (9 Counties) · Fighting appraisal districts since 2020

Fortress Tax Defense uses Texas attorneys. From the protest through a district court appeal, under one fee arrangement.

One client, 557 properties in 9 Texas counties, under one agreement. Fortress Tax Defense protests every property, every year, in every county. Below: what came off the notices in recent years, county by county and year by year, and a sampling of the individual results.

$53.3M

reduced from this portfolio's appraisal notices in recent years.

A note on Tarrant County. Starting in 2024, Tarrant Appraisal District froze residential values, starting with the 2024 final values being identical to the 2025 notices. So, every reduction starts from where the last one ended. The savings compound year over year, and each year there is less left on the notice to take because a reduction was received in the previous year's protest. A Tarrant result that looks small on its own usually sits on top of 2 years of earlier reductions with no increase in the notice value.

Every year we hold for the portfolio, all counties together. The final value is after litigation where a case went to district court. District-court appeals for 2026 are still pending, so the 2026 figures are the protest results alone.

Protest and district court, one fee arrangement

If we believe there are still possible savings after the Appraisal Review Board protest, we can file in district court under the same fee arrangement. A tax consultant can’t file that suit. Attorneys can.

Fee if we don’t win

Our fee is a share of what you save, at the protest or in court. No reduction, no invoice. Every season since 2020.
